Welcome to Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church. We’ve put together some information here that anticipates and tries to briefly answer some of the questions you may have prior to visiting our church for the first time:

Atmosphere

It’s important to us that you feel welcomed and at ease when you visit. We desire to create an atmosphere that is both warm and reverent, one that reflects the goodness and holiness of God. Our worship is shaped by timeless biblical truth rather than trends, and our music and liturgy are intentionally centered on Scripture. You will be greeted and welcomed, and we are glad to have you worship with us.

Family Friendly

No matter your family dynamics or stage of life, you are welcome at Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church. We believe the church is a family made up of people of all ages, and we desire to serve and support the whole household of faith. Children are welcome in our services, and we aim to cultivate a church environment where families can grow together in the knowledge and love of God.

The Sermon

From the pulpit, you will hear clear, expository preaching. Each sermon is rooted in the biblical text to explain what God has said and apply it faithfully to everyday life. We believe God works powerfully through the faithful proclamation of His Word, and we seek to handle Scripture carefully, reverently, and clearly.

Biblical Teaching and Community

At Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church, we place a high priority on the preaching and teaching of God’s Word. Our worship service is a time for us to gather as God’s people—to learn, to be encouraged, to be challenged, and to grow in grace together. Beyond Sunday mornings, we seek to foster meaningful fellowship and discipleship, encouraging one another to live out our faith in our homes, workplaces, and community.
