Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church is a community of people being shaped by the grace of God through Jesus Christ. We gather each week because God has spoken, Christ has saved, and the Spirit is at work among His people. Everything we do flows from that good news.
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, true, trustworthy, and sufficient for life and faith. When we gather, we listen carefully as Scripture is read, preached, prayed, and sung, trusting that God uses His Word to draw us near, convict our hearts, and give us hope.
At the center of our faith is Jesus Christ. He lived the life we could not live, died the death we deserved, and rose again in victory. Salvation is not something we earn or achieve; it is a gift of grace. We come as sinners who need mercy and leave as people being renewed by that mercy week by week.
We believe God is sovereign and good, ruling over all things with wisdom and love. The Father has a purpose in all He does, the Son has accomplished our redemption, and the Holy Spirit applies that work to our lives, bringing new life, strengthening faith, and guiding us in obedience.
As a church, we are not performers and spectators; we are a gathered family. We worship together, confess together, learn together, and are sent together. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are meaningful moments where the gospel is visibly proclaimed among us. We seek to live lives of worship not only on Sundays, but in our homes, neighborhoods, and workplaces.
You do not need to have everything figured out to belong here. Whether you are exploring Christianity, returning to church, or looking for a place to grow deeper in your faith, you are welcome. We are a church built on grace, grounded in truth, and centered on Christ.
We invite you to come worship with us to hear God’s Word, to be reminded of His mercy, and to walk with us as we follow Jesus together.
