Plan a Visit
We’re glad you’re thinking about visiting Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church. Visiting a new church can feel intimidating, so we want to help you know what to expect before you arrive.
What We’re About
Berkeley Avenue Baptist Church is a Bible-centered church where God’s Word shapes everything we do. Our services are focused on hearing from God through Scripture and responding to Him with reverence, joy, and gratitude.
We believe worship is not about performance or preference, but about meeting with God. Each Sunday, our service follows a thoughtful, gospel-shaped flow; God speaks through His Word, we respond in prayer and song, we hear the preaching of Scripture, and we are sent back into the world to live out our faith.
What Our Worship Is Like
Our worship is simple, meaningful, and participatory. You can expect:
Scripture readings and congregational prayer
Singing that emphasizes biblical truth
Clear, expositional preaching from the Bible
Regular celebration of the Lord’s Supper
A service shaped by reverence, warmth, and hope
We aim for worship that engages both the heart and the mind, rooted in truth and shaped by grace.
What to Wear
You’ll see a range of attire—from casual to more traditional. Come as you are. We care more about you than what you’re wearing.
Who Will I Meet?
You’ll be greeted by ordinary people who love Jesus and care about one another. We are not a perfect church; we are a forgiven people learning to grow together. Whether you’re exploring Christianity, returning to church, or looking for a place to put down roots, you are welcome here.
Why We Gather
We gather each week because God has been gracious to us in Jesus Christ. We believe salvation is a gift, not something we earn. We hope that as you visit, you’ll hear that good news clearly and experience a church that seeks to live it out faithfully.
We would be honored to have you worship with us.
If you have any questions before you come, please feel free to reach out. We look forward to meeting you.
